Wounded; An injury to a person physically and/or physiologically.
Both are wounded, but not broken. Both have suffered, but together can heal.
I see this word very much for Daryl and Beth, at least at the start of their relationship. In the beginning of ”Still’ we do see two wounded people struggling to cope as the world they grew to accept, falls apart once more. Yet both in very different ways. Despite their differences, Beth and Daryl are able to open up to one another, break down each others walls and unwittingly begin to heal old wounds, that have left them both, (but particularly Daryl) hurting for so long.
